Police are investigating after four separate incidents of criminal damage occurred in and around Hitchin Rugby last weekend.

A window in the clubhouse was smashed along with a glass door at the renowned community club in Old Hale Way.

Two vehicles parked in the car park had their windows smashed at the site at King George V Playing Fields which runs a large number of rugby sides from young girls and boys, to women and men of all ages and abilities.

Herts Police confirmed the following incidents of criminal damage to Hitchin Nub News:

1) Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage at Hitchin Rugby Club, Old Hale Way, on Sunday (October 2). At around 10.20pm, the windscreen of a black Ford Ranger was smashed in the car park.

Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with information should call the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 41/79760/22.

2) Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage at Hitchin Rugby Club, Old Hale Way. Between 7pm on Saturday (October 1) and 8am on Sunday (2 October), the windscreen of a white Ford Fiesta was smashed.

Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with information should call the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 41/79610/22.

3) Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage at Hitchin Rugby Club, Old Hale Way. Between 6.30pm on Saturday (October 1) and 8.30am on Sunday (2 October), a window on the club house was smashed. Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with information should call the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 41/79606/22.

4) Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage at Hitchin Rugby Club, Old Hale Way. At around 10.20pm on Sunday (October 2) a glass door of the club house was smashed. Enquiries are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with information should call the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference 41/79756/22.
