Music24 Launches New Singing Café in Hitchin

Hitchin to benefit from new community music group aimed at supporting vulnerable adults.
Music24, the community music charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable adults throughout Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, is excited to announce the launch of a new Singing Cafe for over 55s, in Hitchin this week. The charity, which uses music to promote mental and physical wellbeing, is thrilled to be offering this new session, providing a fun and supportive space for local residents to connect through song.
The Singing Cafe takes place at St Mark's Church Hall, St Mark's Close, from 10am – 11.30am on the first and third Tuesday of the month thereafter.
Singing Cafes are designed to provide a relaxed, welcoming environment for people facing social isolation, to come together, sing, and meet new friends.
Teela Hughes-Davis, CEO of Music24, said, "We are absolutely delighted that we have been able to secure new funding that enables us to provide this new service benefitting Hitchin. Connecting people through music, preventing social isolation, and enhancing creativity and confidence is what all our sessions are about. Our Singing Cafes offer a relaxed, friendly space where people can enjoy a cuppa, sing and dance, led by our highly experienced staff and supporters."
