Plans submitted for 292 homes in Graveley near Stevenage
Plans have been submitted for 292 homes in Graveley, on the edge of Stevenage.
Croudace Homes has applied to North Herts Council for permission to develop a 10.7-hectare site, known as Roundwood, alongside Back Lane and along the boundary of the Stevenage borough.
The plans, which are for properties of up to five bedrooms, include 118 affordable homes. The site is allocated in the Local Plan for 330 homes
The planning statement, produced by Stantec, states: "The proposed development at Roundwood is allocated within the Local Plan and sits on the council's housing trajectory through the existing plan period.
"The allocation within the plan is for circa 330 dwellings. In order to provide appropriate levels of open space and land to allow for a full 10 per cent biodiversity net gain on site, the proposal seeks 292 dwellings.
"This will assist the council in achieving their target of housing delivery within the Local Plan period."
The team includes Stantec on planning, ECE on architecture and Transport Planning Associates on transport.
