Hitchin's Willy Wonka of Ice Cream creates amazing festive treats including Pigs in Blankets Fabio Gelato's style

The Willy Wonka of Ice Cream has lined up some fantastic festive treats - Gelato style of course - this Christmas.
The much-loved Fabio's Gelato, with stores in Letchworth and Hitchin, has been busy creating sumptuous ice cream for the forthcoming holidays.
Owner Fabio Vincenti, has been giving Nub News the low down on some of their good stuff - which includes Pigs in blankets Fabio's style.
The ice cream alchemist told us: "Pigs in blankets is back in Hitchin, this year made with no meat but packs the punch with a smokey bacon and maple flavour - and no meat means a better shelf life and nicer end product."
Kind-hearted Fabio's have launched Carlos the Chilly Caterpillar - and with every sale, £5 is donated to a local charity. The charity chosen for November and December is the Ickleford Community Larder.
"We have this running along side our F'eed Up Warm Up' board, and our own community larder in the Hitchin shop," Fabio explains, adding: "With Carlos we have launched a bespoke Gelato yule log which can be custom made on our website, we will then make them in time for Christmas, a great party piece for the table."
But that's not all coming from North Herts Willy Wonka of Ice Cream.
"We have a scotch egg in both our Hitchin and Letchworth shops which is white chocolate gelato, caramel centre dunked in more white chocolate and rolled in smashed smarties topped off with a certain caterpillar," says Fabio.
