Updated: Herts Police have been advising motorists to avoid a busy road in Hitchin following a road traffic accident this morning, Tuesday (March 26).
Officers said earlier today: "We are currently at the scene of a collision in Walsworth Road, Hitchin.
"There is a build-up of traffic and so we advise motorists to avoid the area and seek an alternative route."
However, the latest from the police is as follows:
"Police were called at 10.34am today to reports of a collision in Walsworth Road, Hitchin," said a spokesperson.
"A black Kawasaki motorbike and a white Kia Sorento were involved.
"Officers attended alongside the ambulance service.
"The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries."
