Police are appealing for information after a man exposed himself to a woman in Hitchin earlier this week.

The incident took place at around 8.20am on Wednesday (15 April) in a cut-through between Strathmore Avenue and Brampton Park Road.

The suspect is described as a white man, tall, in his late 40s. He was wearing grey trousers, a red hoody and dark-coloured shoes with untied laces.

Inspector James Lant, from the North Herts Neighbourhood Policing Team, said officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time.

He added: "We'd like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of this incident or has information about it.

"I'd like to reassure the public we had officers in the area yesterday and again today as we conduct additional patrols in the vicinity.

"I would urge anyone with information to contact us."

Anyone with information can report it online via the Hertfordshire Constabulary website, use the online web chat service, or call the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 41/34409/26.
