Police appeal for witnesses after woman assaulted by masked man in Hitchin

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was reportedly assaulted by a man wearing a balaclava in Hitchin.
The incident happened in Westmill Road at around 3.25pm on Thursday, July 16.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said the woman reported being assaulted by a white man who was wearing a balaclava.
A 23-year-old man from Hitchin was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm (ABH) later the same day.
He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
As part of the ongoing investigation, officers are now asking anyone who witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police to come forward.
