The collision occurred just before 615pm at the junction of Dunstable Road and Chaul End Lane and involved a white Toyota and a pedestrian, who was pushing a pushchair.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital. The child in the pushchair was not seriously injured.
