Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to following an assault in Hitchin.

North Herts Police are appealing for the public's help to identify the man in connection with an incident which took place in the Purwell area on Friday, August 7.

Two men, aged 52 and 37 and both from Hitchin, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

However, detectives believe the man pictured was also in the area at the time and may have information which could assist their investigation.

Police acknowledged that the image released as part of the appeal is not of good quality, but are asking anyone who believes they may recognise the man to come forward.
