Police helicopter drafted to aid officers extensive pursuit of youths amid reports of fight in Hitchin

A police helicopter was called to support a large number of police vehicles in Hitchin on Monday evening following reports of a fight among youngsters.

The airborne support supplemented at least five police cars and two vans after a fight was said to have broken out among youths around the Redhill Road area of Hitchin around late afternoon.

A policeman on Nutleigh Grove confirmed to Hitchin Nub News that a group of young men were involved in an altercation.

A number of police are still patrolling the Westmill area of Hitchin this evening (March 27) in a bid to locate the youths.

Hitchin Nub News has approached Herts Police for official comment.
