Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Stevenage.

On Sunday, August 14, at around 3am, the victim was outside Bingol Kebab and Pizza shop in the High Street when he was approached by four unknown males.

It was reported that they became engaged in a verbal altercation, which then turned physical. The victim was repeatedly punched and kicked, sustaining numerous injuries.

The offenders ran from the scene, in the direction of the town centre.

PC Alex Davies, who is investigating, said: "The suspects were described as three white men, who were all wearing black tops, and one black man, who was wearing a black and white patterned hoodie. They were all believed to be aged in their 20s.

"This incident occurred at a time when the High Street would probably have been very busy, with people leaving various night clubs and bars.

"I appreciate that some time has passed since the date this incident took place, but we believe that several people may have witnessed this assault taking place and have not yet spoken to police.

"If you were in the area at the time and have any information that you think may assist with our investigation, please get in touch."

Anyone with information is asked to please email PC Davies at [email protected]
