Bedfordshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a burglary at a property in Luton.

Between the hours of 12:30am and 1am on Thursday (December 14), police responded to a call regarding an incident in Grove Road, Luton.

Officers attended the property and the victim explained that five or six men had broken into his property whilst he was bed. They gained entry via a window at the back of the house and entered his bedroom shortly afterwards.

The men were described as white and were said to be wearing face coverings at the time of the incident.

PC Jamie Petrie said: "One would hope that their home is a safe place that brings comfort and happy memories. Unfortunately, what this victim has experienced is incredibly traumatic.

"I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area between 12:30am and 1am, and who may have witnessed anything suspicious, to come forward.

"I would also urge people in the surrounding area to check any CCTV cameras or dash cam footage, as this may feature crucial information to support our investigation."

Anyone with information about this incident can do so using the online reporting tool or by calling 101, quoting reference number 40/67636/23.
