Witnesses sought following assault in Stevenage

Officers are appealing for witnesses and information following an alleged assault in Stevenage.

The incident occurred outside the Cromwell Hotel on High Street, Old Town, between 1am and 130am on Sunday, April 30.

It is reported that two women were waiting outside on the wall when a man approached them. 

He then started to verbally and physically assault both women. This carried on into Walkern Road.

PC Gemma Hutchinson who is investigating, is appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the altercation, or who has any information that could help the investigation, to get in touch.
