Hitchin vehicle seized and driver reported for offences

Police officers seized a vehicle following a routine stop in Hitchin at the weekend.

North Herts Intervention Officers carried out the stop on Sunday, (April 14), and discovered the driver had no insurance and was not displaying 'L' plates.

Officers seized the car, and reported the driver for multiple traffic offences.

Herts Police say: "Driving without insurance can lead to a fine, penalty points, or being disqualified from driving.

"Driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence can lead to between three and six penalty points, and a fine from £100 up to £1,000. Prosecutors can also impose a disqualification."
