Residents and visitors are being encouraged to get out and explore Hitchin's vibrant pub and bar scene this winter, with the chance to win £100 to spend locally.

Visit Hitchin has launched a new three-month challenge inviting people to visit 10 different pubs and bars in Hitchin town centre and make a purchase at each venue.

Anyone who collects receipts from 10 participating pubs or bars and hands them in will be entered into a prize draw to win £100 worth of H-Town Pounds, which can be spent with local businesses in the town.

The competition is open to over-18s only and runs until 31 March.

To take part, customers simply need to enjoy food, drink – or both – at 10 town centre venues, keep their receipts, and submit them to Visit Hitchin. Check sheets and maps showing participating pubs and bars can be collected from the Visit Hitchin shop in the town centre.

As part of the challenge, participants are also encouraged to take photos of their visits and tag Visit Hitchin on social media.

The initiative aims to support Hitchin's hospitality sector while showcasing the wide variety of pubs and bars on offer in the town centre.
