An amber weather warning for heat didn't stop the crowds gathering to celebrate the opening of the refurbished Anchor pub in Hitchin Walsworth today.

A full beer garden enjoyed the sunshine whilst shade lovers packed the inside to enjoy the new layout.

Live music from Sam Lewis was on the menu for the evening with a full weekend's worth of fun planned.
