A Hitchin security company is helping to improve safety at Hitchin Town Football Club after agreeing a new sponsorship deal with the Canaries.

Arena Security will install a completely new CCTV system at the club's Top Field ground, providing additional protection for the stadium and its home and away supporters.

The system will include four high-definition, anti-vandal Hikvision cameras positioned around the entrance and exit, between the turnstiles and ticket office.

Installation work is scheduled to be finished this week.

In return for supplying and installing the system, Arena Security will become a club sponsor. The company's branding will appear on two pitch-side advertising boards, as well as on several exterior signs highlighting that it helps protect the ground.

Arena Security will also display a framed Hitchin Town home shirt at its headquarters, accompanied by an engraved plaque celebrating the partnership.

The company was previously based in Letchworth but moved to Hitchin two years ago. The agreement represents its first formal connection with the football club.

"The new CCTV system will help protect the ground and those who use it, while our sponsorship gives us another way to play a positive role in the town.

"We wanted to become part of the local community, and Hitchin Town Football Club felt like a natural organisation to support.

"The partnership will also help raise awareness of Arena Security among supporters and other local residents."
