Music and movies collide in Broadway Cinema’s ‘Soundtrack to Summer’ Seaso

Broadway Cinema & Theatre in Letchworth is turning up the volume this August with a film season designed for music lovers of all ages. The "Soundtrack to Summer" series promises everything from iconic live performances and cult classics to musical theatre and exclusive documentaries.
The limited-run programme features screenings in the cinema's boutique-style Screen 4, where guests can relax in plush armchairs or cosy up on sofas for two. With swivelling tables for drinks and snacks, the setting offers a luxury cinema experience to match the high-octane soundtrack.
Highlights from the season include:
The Sparks Brothers (Sun 10 Aug, 5pm) – A quirky, affectionate documentary chronicling the influential yet underrated career of Ron and Russell Mael, aka Sparks.
Six: The Musical (Wed 13 Aug, 8.30pm) – The hit West End show reimagining the wives of Henry VIII as pop icons returns to the big screen with its original cast.
Yungblud: Are You Ready, Boy? (Wed 20 & Fri 22 Aug, 8pm) – An intimate look at the Gen Z rocker as he records his fourth album at Berlin's legendary Hansa Studios.
Battleship Potemkin with Pet Shop Boys Score (Sat 23 Aug, 8.30pm) – A centenary screening of Eisenstein's silent film classic, accompanied by a modern electronic soundtrack.
This Is Spinal Tap (Sun 24 Aug, 6pm) – The cult comedy classic returns to celebrate its 41st anniversary in all its loud, deadpan glory.
