Superman Lands in Letchworth

A life size superman was "spotted" suspended from Letchworth's iconic Broadway Cinema & Theatre.
The realistic sculptural installation (cough cough) marks the release of DC Studio's Superman on July 11th, Letchworth film fans were treated to a dramatic installation that saw Superman suspended at the top of the Cinema. Riffing on the film's tagline, 'Look Up', the stunt encouraged onlookers to do exactly that.
It stands at 12-inches tall and weighs more than 304g and is rigged to the highest points of the world-famous building's rooftop. With a resin body mould, supported by cable ties (ok we photoshopped it can't you tell?) it took four minutes to create, with more than 2 people putting in a combined 2 minutes to get it picture-perfect.
Superman has stood as a symbol of hope and heroism for generations — so it feels only fitting that he now watches over Letchworth from the top of one of its most iconic landmarks. We're incredibly proud to help bring this legendary figure to life in such a bold and breathtaking way.
The immersive sky-high stunt brings to life the power of Superman and successfully builds hype, making the much-awaited movie a cinematic event you don't want to miss.
