Hitchin firm takes on gruelling Three Peaks Challenge for hospice charity
By James Denselow 6th May 2026
A team from a local financial firm is preparing to take on one of the UK's toughest endurance challenges to raise money for a charity supporting families across Hertfordshire.
Colleagues from Lyndhurst Financial Management will attempt the National Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday 5 September, aiming to climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.
The challenge will see the group tackle Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), testing both their fitness and determination.
The team – including Benjamin Brown, Joe Pritchard and Jerry Williamson – are raising funds for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, a charity that provides specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
Speaking ahead of the challenge, the team said they are "lacing up their hiking boots" and training hard, with the aim of raising as much money as possible for their charity partner.
Rennie Grove Peace offers vital services including hospice-at-home care, rehabilitation and emotional support for both patients and their families, helping them live the best quality of life possible.
Fundraising plays a crucial role in sustaining this care, with community challenges and events helping to fund services for local people facing some of life's toughest moments.
Supporters can donate to the team's fundraising effort online, with early contributions already helping to boost morale ahead of the demanding challenge.
The group say they are grateful for any support as they prepare to take on the peaks – and hope their efforts will make a meaningful difference to families across the region.
