One of the organisations benefiting from the Lottery is St Mary's Preservation Trust, which helps care for the historic St Mary's Church in Hitchin.

Anne Senechal, Chair of St Mary's Preservation Trust, said:

"The Lottery is very easy to sign up for – getting set up with our information and graphics was really simple on its interactive website. Since joining last year, it has been great for our promotion and has helped us reach different areas of the North Herts community that might not have previously known about us."

Local organisations can sign up to the North Herts Community Lottery to receive extra funding and increased visibility – and it's quick, easy and completely free for good causes to join.

For those buying gifts, vouchers start from just £1 and can be purchased online. Recipients then choose which local cause they want to support and are automatically entered into weekly prize draws.
