Two people have been arrested in connection with an incident at Stevenage Leisure Park which left a woman injured.

A 15 year old boy from Stevenage and a 17 year old boy from Sandy and were arrested on Thursday (March 2) on suspicion of affray, and released on police bail while enquiries continue.

The incident occurred inside McDonald's, at around 1pm on Monday, January 23.

It was reported that an altercation occurred between a large group of teenagers, during which chairs were thrown. A woman, who was eating inside the restaurant at the time, sustained injuries to her arm as she prevented one of the chairs from striking a young child.

Investigator Tara Adams-Cook, from the Local Crime Unit, said: "We are still keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident and even have phone footage of it.

"There were a number of people in the restaurant at the time, so if you have not yet spoken to police, please get in touch as soon as possible.

"If you would prefer to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers with any information. Thank you."
