Thameslink signalling system failure results in train disruption from Hitchin to Kings Cross and London St Pancras with 45 minute delays expected

Thameslink trains across North Herts including Hitchin are expected to be disrupted all day today, Monday, (June 12).

Delays are affecting trains passing through Hitchin, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield -

A fault with the signalling system between London Bridge and London St Pancras has seen Thameslink services cancelled and delayed - with trains on all lines running at reduced speeds.

Thameslink says services are delayed by 'up to 45 minutes' - with trains between Peterborough and London now terminating at and restarting from London Kings Cross, with passengers needing to continue southwards advised to walk over to London St Pancras.
