Two people died in a crash on the M1 during Easter.

A Range Rover careered off the M1 and crashed into trees on Easter Monday.

Three other people who were also in the silver Range Rover were rushed to hospital following the fatal crash on the southbound carriageway between junctions 5 and 6 at about 8.10pm on Monday, April 1.

Herts Police confirmed a man and a young woman died at the scene, while two women and a man were taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for witnesses, information and any dash cam footage.
