Hitchin Town Football Club have announced the renewal of the sponsorship deal with Flip Connect.
Flip Connect has been proudly sponsoring Hitchin Town FC for the past five years with their brand seen on banners around the club and in the official match programmes.
The news comes as a further boost to the progressive Top Field outfit as they gear up to take on Barwell FC on Monday evening, ahead of their FA Cup second preliminary round clash with Cheshunt on Saturday.
Hitchin-based business Flip Connect are a market-leading hosted solutions provider offering business packages on phone systems, leased lines, SIP Trunks and mobiles.
Russell Dawson, Director at Flip Connect, added: "We 100 per cent support the work Hitchin Town FC do locally and we look forward to working together to find new ways we can give back to Hitchin.
"All of us at Flip Connect wish all the players and supporters at the club a successful, fun and enjoyable season."
Hitchin Town can trace its roots back to 1865 when Hitchin FC was formed.
Six years later the club, one of only fifteen teams, to take part in the first ever FA Cup to the second round of the competition before losing to eventual finalists Royal Engineers.
This season marks 150 years since the world's longest-running knockout football competition which was born on 24 October 1871 with a fixture between Hitchin Town and Crystal Palace, with Hitchin progressing.
That first Hitchin club were the victims of a fire at the ground in 1911 and lay dormant until 1928 when they were reborn under the name Hitchin Town FC and it was at this point that the nickname, the Canaries was adopted.
Mick Docking, commercial officer at Hitchin Town, added: "We are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Flip Connect and gain such a commitment for our new season from a successful local company.
"Their sponsorship will help grow and support our teams."
Flip Connect forth boost our Hitchin community
But that's not all. Flip Connect support our town's community in many other ways, including boosting acclaimed youth charity Phase.
Flip Connect recently donated a brand new 3CX hosted phone system worth £3,600 to the renowned Phase.
Phase work alongside young people to promote their wellbeing and resilience - which is more important than ever as we all face the challenges of lockdown, social distancing and stress caused by Covid.
Flip's kind gesture will help streamline Phase's communications processes in and out of the office and enable their fundraising team to secure even more donations in 2021 and beyond.
Phase director Kieran Murphy said: "The generous support from Flip Connect with the excellent phone solution has been a huge benefit to the work of Phase and our support of young people, parents and schools.
"We've all been impacted by the 'work from home' guidance, the phone solution from Flip Connect has meant the whole Phase team can respond to requests for support without any delay whether we're at home, the office or even in a school."
The reason behind the gesture was that Flip Connect employees were invited to nominate a charity close to their hearts - and chose Phase.
Many Flip employees are parents and know all too well the pressures that young people are under in society today.
Ben Smith, Flip director of operations explained: "We all think that Phase does a phenomenal job with the young people of Hitchin.
"They are a wonderful charity and young people would seriously struggle without their work and guidance."
