For our latest Up Close feature we shine the spotlight on the brilliant Tradee On Demand - the UK's first on-demand, peer-to-peer platform connecting vetted tradespeople with end users such as homeowners, tenants, letting agents.

Tradee On Demand have been dubbed the 'Uber for property maintenance' which has gone live across our county.

So, read on for our latest Hitchin Nub News Up Close with Bob Dha, Jamie Matthews and the team at Tradee On Demand.

Tech startup Tradee On Demand has now gone live with an innovative new on-demand platform for the property maintenance market.

It connects end users such as homeowners, tenants and property managers to instantly available tradespeople.

The app which features an Uber like experience is designed to be the fastest and safest way to order a tradesperson.

The Tradee On Demand app solves many problems that customers can typically face such as: difficulty and time taken to find a tradesperson, rogue traders, inflated invoices and poor workmanship.

Business co-founders Bob Dha and Jamie Matthews were inspired to create Tradee On Demand after each struggled to find reliable tradespeople when needed.

Bob told Nub News: "Jamie's initial concept just clicked with me straight away as I had also experienced similar issues finding tradespeople.

"Originally the concept was for a website with a page showing tradespeople availability.

"But I said: 'let's just make the whole experience similar to and as easy as Uber so that customers could order a tradesperson instantly at the push of a button.'"

Tradee has a strict vetting process for tradespeople wanting to join the platform to help eliminate rogue traders.

A further safeguard for customers is that Tradee holds the tradespersons earnings for a week and in the event of any issues then freezes the funds and acts as an independent intermediary to resolve the issue for the customer.

Transparency is key, the app sets the rates and shows in realtime the available tradespeople which can be tracked all the way to the customers door.

Jamie explained: "It was frustrating spending hours trying to find a plumber when needed, I knew there had to be a better way."

Customers don't need to worry about selecting a tradesperson, the tech does all that for them and matches them with a suitable tradesperson and dispatches them to the address immediately.

This transparency continues throughout the whole customer journey with the app featuring revolutionary per minute charging and displaying live job and break timers.

Why the break timer?

Well, Tradee doesn't allow tradespeople to charge for anytime away from the job on breaks or when popping out for materials.

This works for the tradespeople as the Tradee platform makes working more time efficient as they don't have to waste time running around doing multiple quotes in order to get one job.

After the job is complete both the tradesperson and customer get to leave ratings and reviews.

Big talent

Tradee has already started attracting some big talent, Mohammed Lateef joined as Financial Director earlier this year and has a wealth of experience including being the Financial Director at another tech company with over 200 employees and a £65 million turnover.

Mohammed says: "Tradee is a business that addresses a genuine need for trustworthy traders, to do all types of works and services at short notice.

"I can see this being a local business turned global with it's innovative tech pushing it forwards. Tradee is going to be a game-changer."

.............

Tradee was founded by Jamie Matthews and Bob Dha in 2020 who have a combined experience of 35 years in property maintenance, business and digital marketing.

The app looks to address many of the traditional issues within the property maintenance space, offering customers and tradespeople alike with a transparent tradesperson ordering platform that meets expectations relating to availability, cost and quality for all involved.

The app took over 18 months of development work but is now live in Hertfordshire to prove the concept before taking on investors and expanding nationwide.
