WANTED: A young vocalist to appear in a Hitchin screening of much-loved Christmas tale The Snowman.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented soloist to perform the iconic story with Hitchin Brass Band at a live music screening this Christmas.

The band's Hannah Landsman told Hitchin Nub News: "This is a magical experience for all the family.

"There are many families that come every year and have made this a Christmas tradition.

"We are inviting applications for young singers - girls or boys aged eight to 16 with an unbroken treble voice - to sing the famous Walking in the Air song while the band accompanies the film.

The renowned band has previously performed three sell-out years at St Mary's Church in Hitchin.

"We are also bringing the show to The Broadway Theatre in Letchworth and St Paul's Church in Bedford as well this year," Hannah added.
