.................. SUNDAY Epiphany Carols St Mary's Church has seen some incredible sights and changes during it's long history. From Henry Woods' (founder of the Proms) memorial service, to staging a Kim Wilde concert for 'Rhythms of the World'. Despite everything that history has thrown at it, the sandstone walls have always been at the heart of Hitchin, and no less so than during the past difficult year. Why not join them from 630pm for Epiphany Carols This is a free event, but cash donations are welcomed ..................... SATURDAY: Hitchin councillors' 'Community Zoom Surgery This weekend sees the return of the Hitchin councillors' 'Community Zoom Surgery'. Originally scheduled for Market Place, the event is now online due to Covid safety - and is your opportunity to discuss any suggestions, queries or concerns about district or county council services with the councillors you elected to represent you on North Herts District Council. The virtual event will give councilors an insight into what the main concerns are from Hitchin voters and whether regular themes emerge from conversations with people. The online discussion also provides an extra avenue for Hitchin locals to engage and get to know the local politician that represents them.
