Jigsaw Festival at St Mary's Church

A two day regional Festival of Jigsaws, new, used and framed for your enjoyment. In the beautiful setting of St Mary's Church 100s of jigsaws will be displayed for purchase as well as Refreshments and other attractions including tours of the historic building. In aid of our Orphanage project in Malawi as well as St Mary's upkeep

Magical Honey - at Hitchin Library

The sensational Sanskruti Dance share a show which tells the story of young Maya, who discovers her own magic, with the help of the celestial being Saraswati, and uses it to defeat her foe. 

The production combines Bharatanatyam dance, storytelling and magical illusion along with audience participation and an original music score.

Best suited for families with children aged 5-10, but all ages welcome. Tickets £7, payable for 3 years and up.

Pumpkin Patch at The British Schools Museum - through until Sunday, October 29

Join us this Hallow'een Half Term for the only Pumpkin Patch in Hitchin. With pumpkin carving (or painting for younger kids), halloweeny crafts, games and much more.

Carve or paint your own pumpkin, tour our haunted Headmaster's House, and take part in spooOOOooky crafts for kids...

With various levels of entry (bronze, silver and gold), choose between pumpkin carving with a tour of our Haunted Headmaster's House, or add spooky Hallowe'en kids' crafts to your visit, or even add a personalised tour of the Museum from our Curatorial team.

Halloween Nights: After Dark at British Schools Museum - through until Friday, October 27

Join us from 6pm - 7.30pm for a night time tour of the British Schools Museum.

On Sunday 22 October or Friday 27 October, come along for a torchlight after dark visit - learn about the horrible history of schools, how children lived in VIctorian times, and visit our haunted Headmaster's House

Pre-booking is essential.

Most suitable for primary-school aged children, but everyone welcome. £8.00 per child, £3 per adult. Pre-schoolers 4 and under can come free with a paying adult. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Be ready for a scare!

Pumpkin Carving at Standalone Farm - through until Friday, October 27

This Halloween our sell-out Pumpkin Carving event is back for October half-term.

Enter our rustic barns, select your pumpkin of choice and carve a ghoulish face or a spooky scene. 

Pumpkin pickers will have 20 minutes to select their chosen pumpkin and a member of staff will help scoop out the insides and cut the top off mwahaha!
