Did you know Hitchin's British Schools museum is now open again following lockdown?

The site on Queen Street is offering craft activities for child and adults until the end of August.

Their 'Dreamers, Radicals and Satirists' exhibition on writers from Hertfordshire runs until the end of the year.

The list of Herts writers include EM Forster, George Orwell, Charles Dickens and Edward Bulwer-Lytton. The exhibition explores their politics, beliefs and loves.

The museum will also be holding a craft fair on Saturday, September 5 between 10am to 2pm.

Entry is free and will take place in their outdoors schoolyard. Around 10 vendors from our community will be selling a variety of crafts and products.

The museum is hoping to raise £20,000 this year to ensure the survival of this unique site and collections. Donations to the museum are greatly appreciated.
