Coffee Morning in aid of North Herts Cats Protection

We are having a coffee morning on 9 September 2023 from 10am until 12pm where we will be selling tea, coffee and cake as well as Cats Protection new goods and bric a brac.

Everyone is welcome, entrance is free.

Why not come along and support your local charity! All money raised will help us to look to after the cats and kittens in our care.

We are also looking for volunteer fosterers to help us take in more cats and kittens that desperately need homes. Our volunteers would love to talk to you about how you can help, should you wish to do so.

We look forward to seeing you there.

BuzzWorks Beekeeper Taster Day

For anyone who wants to find out more about bees and see if they would like to take up beekeeping at Burford Way in Hitchin

These day courses are held at our Honeyworks Beekeeping centre where friendly, experienced beekeepers will allow you to learn the first skills of beekeeping. 

You will enjoy looking inside a beehive, watching the bees at work and trying to find the queen in amongst the thousands of worker bees. You will also find out about different approaches to beekeeping, what equipment is needed and get an idea of how much time you need to spend. 

There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions with our very experienced beekeepers. Perhaps this could be the start of your new hobby.

Limited to six places so book now to avoid disappointment.

Ferocious Dog at Club 85, Whinbush Road

Ferocious Dog

We are very pleased to announce for the first time we have been able to secure a Ferocious Dog show at Club 85 in Hitchin as part of their UK Tour for Autumn 2023.

Ferocious Dog are a six-piece band who deal in a vibrant vein of Celtic-folk infused punk rock, comfortably slotting in between Billy Bragg and The Levellers. However, like The Levellers and New Model Army (also listed as an influence), Ferocious Dog have a broad spectrum of influences, tied together by the band's left-leaning convictions and a shared desire to communicate through music.

The band has headlined tours of the UK and Europe, performed in Kenya and Dubai, festivals such as Bearded Theory, Alchemy, Deerstock, Farmer Phil's Festival, Splendour, Lowlands (Netherlands), Glastonbury Festival and Beautiful Days among many others.
