Hitchin Wine and Food Festival
The Hitchin Wine and Food Festival, organised by the Rotary Club of Hitchin Tilehouse takes place this year on Saturday, November 26.
Now in its 13th year It promises to be the best yet thanks to the overwhelming number of local food and wine businesses wanting to take part.
FOOD
In the Market Place, you can wander amongst our colourful gazebos, enjoying the sights and smells of delicious food.
From Mediterranean specialities to local cheeses, oils, pickles, preserves, honey, sausages, fresh fruit and gorgeous vegetables to scrummy cakes, there will be something to please everybody.
Why not wash this down with some fine ale from our local brewery or some seasonal steaming spiced mulled wine?
WINE
In the gorgeous Mountford room of Hitchin Town Hall independent wine merchants will offer a stunningly diverse selection of wines to taste from around the world all under one roof.
This year the wine selection is bigger and better than ever, we have more experts on hand to share their passion and love of wine.
Entry to the wine event is £6.95 for adults. Your ticket means you can sample as many wines as are on offer, talk to the various stall holders at your leisure

Hitchin: Get set for a Festive jumper swap this weekend
It's time to rummage your winter wardrobes and rustle up your festive jumpers - because this weekend a collective of Hitchin schools and 'Plastic Free Hitchin' are hosting their very first Festive Jumper Swap.
On the back of their recent popular events for pre-loved uniform sales and a Halloween costume swap, people can come along with their old, outgrown or unloved festive jumpers and swap for a 'new' preloved jumper for £1.
Alternatively, you can drop by and purchase one for £2 without swapping.
All donations will be distributed to the participating local schools as fundraising efforts as well as raising environmental awareness and consciousness.
