Where The Wild Things Are - Summer Children's Craft Activities at the brilliant British Schools Museum on Queen Street

Have you visited the wonderful British Schools Museum on Queen Street recently? 

British School Museum is a local gem of heritage that is largely kept alive and well through local gems of volunteers and helpers of all sorts – and they're always welcoming volunteers, be it in their collections space, maintenance of their iconic buildings, or even with helping visiting schools understand the site.

Get set for Summer Children's Craft Activities at the British Schools Museum starting on Tuesday, August 1 and running every every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until August 24.

Schools out for summer! Looking for some fun activities for your children? Then why not join us for our annual Summer Holiday Craft's Events, with this year's theme. "Where the Wild Things are!"

Every week features a different animal theme and a different range of crafts to learn and make - From sharks to sheep, monkeys to monster.

Stay for a drink and delicious cake in our stay-and-play cafe outdoor or indoor area, play in our sandpit or water trays, plus other treats!

£7 per child. Recommended for children aged 4-11 yrs. Accompanying adults and younger children are free.

Sound like fun? The stop by the British Schools Museum and get making!

Victorian Scenes Drama and Singing Class - OLIVER! British Schools Museum, Queen St, Hitchin

Something Fantastic for kids to do in the Summer Hols! Children's Acting classes - two age groups! 

Come along to our Victorian Museum and experience acting and singing as we teach the children to perform material from OLIVER - the musical story of Oliver Twist! 

See the attached poster for dates, times & price ages 2-5 and 6+ performance on the last day for the kid's Grown-Ups! 

LOTS OF FUN TO BE HAD AND A NEW SKILL LEARNED! And grown ups can grab a coffee in the cafe while their kids are attending the classes!

North Herts Rugby and Netball Festival

North Herts Rugby and Netball festival returns to King George V Playing Fields while teaming up with Hitchin Street Food Monthly

This year's event will see organisers teaming up with Hitchin Street Food Monthly to bring you some of the best local street food and mobile bars.

Organiser Adam Howard says: "The event will also showcase North Herts rugby in both men's rugby and ladies rugby on show from 12pm - 430pm.

"In addition, working with another two North Herts companies, Proud2Presents and DiscoNyts, we will have the amazing Indi Forde playing for us from 730pm - 915pm."
