North Herts Guild of Singers with the music of the Mendelssohnshn

Walsworth Road Baptist Church, Hitchin

Saturday, 8 Nov 2025 – 7.30pm

Join the North Herts Guild of Singers as we explore all thing Mendelssohn. Felix's music needs very little introduction - we present possibly his most famous choral work Hear My Prayer (and O for the Wings of a Dove) alongside a beautiful setting of the Ave Maria and a rousing setting of Lauda Sion. His sister Fanny's music is equally spectacular and is gaining increasing popularity within the classical music sphere. We are excited to perform her unjustly neglected cantata Hiob alongside a selection of her popular Gartenlieder.

Conducted by award-winning Harry Bradford, accompanied by Colin Spinks, alongside 4 talented young international soloists

The Mendelssohns - a family affair.

Tickets £15 and £5 full time education, from Mendelssohn – a family affair , Hitchin Information Centre or on the door if available.
