Hitchin residents are invited to join the celebrations as the Willow charity shop marks its first birthday this weekend.

The much-loved shop, based at 7 Arcade Walk, is hosting a special birthday party on Saturday 1 November to celebrate one year of serving the local community.

The fun-filled day will include cake, a raffle, a tombola and exclusive discounts for shoppers. The team hopes the event will be a chance to thank Hitchin locals for their incredible support over the past year — whether through donating preloved items, volunteering or shopping in store.

Juliet Sutton, Assistant Manager at the Hitchin Willow shop, said:

Since opening its doors in November 2024, Willow has become a popular spot in the heart of Arcade Walk, offering quality preloved goods at affordable prices. The shop helps support Willow's wider mission to create special experiences for seriously ill young adults across the UK.

The team is always looking for good-quality donations and new volunteers, and anyone interested in getting involved is encouraged to pop in and chat with staff during the celebrations.
