Youth & Wellbeing Day comes to Hitchin this September
By Katie Wilson 29th Aug 2026
Rotary Hitchin Tilehouse, in partnership with Hitchin Youth Trust, is bringing a vibrant Youth & Wellbeing Day to the heart of Hitchin on Saturday 26th September. The event is completely free and aims to celebrate the many groups, charities, clubs, and wellbeing organisations that support young people and families across North Hertfordshire.
For Rotary, this event reflects their long‑standing commitment to community service. The club has spent years supporting local projects, fundraising for charities, and helping young people access opportunities that build confidence, resilience, and connection. By hosting Youth & Wellbeing Day, Rotary is shining a light on the organisations who quietly make a difference every day — and inviting the whole town to come together in a positive, welcoming space.
Throughout the day, Market Place and the High Street will be filled with a wide mix of local groups: youth organisations, sports clubs, walking groups, counselling services, creative teams, health charities, and specialist support providers. Families and residents can wander through the Square, meet the people behind these organisations, and discover new ways to get involved or find support. The event is designed to be friendly and informal, with something for all ages.
Rotary Hitchin Tilehouse hopes the day will encourage young people to explore new interests, help families connect with local support, and strengthen the sense of community that makes Hitchin such a special place. Their volunteers will be present throughout the event to welcome visitors and share more about Rotary's work in the town.
