The Bantam's Lee Novak grabbed a brace as Bradford came from behind to beat Stevenage 2-1 in a game that was uncertain to be played.

With Boro announcing on Friday a player had tested positive for coronavirus - while revealing a further two had Covid on Saturday morning - the omens did not look promising that this League Two fixture would be fulfilled.

However, following discussions between the clubs and the EFL, it was decided there was 'no medical reason' the match could not take place as scheduled.

Alex Rewell's side went ahead through Elliott List eight minutes before the interval and it appeared that looked that Boro's unsettled few days could have a happy outcome.

But two goals from Novak, netting in the 61st and 81st minutes, earned City their first win of the season, consigning a battling Stevenage side to their first league defeat of the campaign.
