Carlisle beat 10-man Stevenage 4-0 to post their biggest home win of the season.

First-half goals from Nick Anderton, Joshua Kayode and Lewis Alessandra put the Cumbrians in the driving seat after only 34 minutes.

Joe Riley notched a fourth goal for the home side in the 73rd minute.

Stevenage were reduced to 10 men 60 seconds later by Luke Prosser's sending off.

Prosser was expelled for a soft second yellow card as Boro's afternoon went from bad to worse.

Stevenage slipped into the relegation places again after Anderton fired home his first goal of the campaign in the 10th minute.

Kayode scored with a header 10 minutes later while Alessandra sealed a fast start for the hosts with a fine finish around the half-hour mark.

That was before Riley grabbed a fourth for Carlisle to cap a miserable day on the road for Alex Revell's side.

Stevenage travel to Tranmere on Tuesday evening.
