Stevenage FC's League Two fixtures this week have been postponed after a positive Covid test at the club.

Boro's clash against Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park on Tuesday evening as well as the home match against Exeter at the Lamex on Saturday have been called off.

In a statement the club said: "We have informed the EFL that we will be unable to fulfil the fixtures following a recent positive Covid test, and the requirement for players and staff to self-isolate for 10 days as per EFL and government guidance in order to mitigate against the risk of further infection."

Back in September the club reported cases of Covid before a game at Bradford City, although the match did take place at Valley Parade.

The circumstances surrounding this week's postponements will now be the subject of an investigation in accordance with EFL regulations.
