Danny Rose has dropped down a division and joined Grimsby Town from Stevenage on a 'five-figure' deal.

Barnsley-born former Northampton attacker Rose formed part of Steve Evans' 2022-23 promotion-winning team, and the 29-year-old forward leaves Stevenage with more than fifty appearances to his name, to join Mariners in League Two

The Lamex outfit said in a statement on Thursday morning: "Stevenage Football Club has agreed an undisclosed five-figure fee with Grimsby Town for the permanent transfer of Danny Rose.

"The club thanks Danny and wishes him the best of luck in this next stage of his career."
