A highly-renowned Hitchin fighter is set for the biggest clash of his career so far when he takes on the son of a boxing legend on the undercard of a prize fight next month.

Tom Ansell, is set to take on Cambell Hatton, the son of Ricky Hatton on the same evening as the heavyweight rematch between Anthony Joshua vs Dillian Whyte.

The eagerly-awaited clash is set to take place on Saturday, August 12 at the O2.

Hugely-respected trainer and boxing manager Tony Pill, who will be coaching Ansell, said: "Boxing Management London is proud to announce a second fight on the undercard of Joshua vs Whyte.

"This one is also huge with our very own Tom Ansell taking on a legends son in Cambell Hatton.

"Believe me this is going to be a great fight and one in which we believe Tom makes a name for himself."

"Don't miss this great Matchroom Boxing show at the 02 London - Let's goooooo."

Talented sportsman Tom played for Letchworth Rugby Club, before switching to the sweet science, and has been working exceptionally well as he gears up for his latest - and biggest - fight.

Nub News has followed the tough 30-year-old super lightweight throughout his career including an absorbing title eliminator at the world famous York Hall last year, with popular Ansell still aiming for a belt as a culmination of his hard work in switching sports.

Looking forward to the event, determined Ansell said: "I'm not here to make up the numbers.

"Thank you to Tony Pill Boxing and Matchroom Boxing for having me on this huge show."
