FT: League Two: Stevenage 1-1 Colchester United

Stevenage dropped two points after they drew with Colchester United in front of 4,763 supporters at Broadhall Way on Good Friday.

Steve Evans League Two promotion-chasing side slipped out of the automatic promotion places for the first time sine September 24 last year after they were held by the visitors from Essex.

Colchester went ahead on 17 minutes when Connor Hall slotted home to put Ben Garner's struggling side 1-0 up to the delight of their 624 travelling supporters.

However, Evans side came out fired up after the interval with Charlton Athletic loanee Alex Gilbey firming home 120 seconds after the break.

With Carlisle beating Tranmere the results mean that the Borderers now occupy third spot, with Boro now in fourth, albeit with a crucial game in hand.
