Newport 0-0 Stevenage: Boro earn a point at Rodney Parade

Stevenage earned a point at League Two promotion chasers Newport County at Rodney Parade on Saturday afternoon.

The draw in south Wales saw Alex Revell's side stretch their unbeaten run to four games in their bid to pull away from the lower reaches of the fourth tier.

In a game of very few chances, home shotstopper Nick Townsend blocked Elliott List after the interval.

On loan Chelsea keeper Jamie Cumming tipped Matt Dolan's cross tipped onto the bar to keep a clean sheet.

Newport stay sixth in the table while Stevenage move up one place to 19th - with the hard-fought draw putting put the visitors from north Herts nine points clear of the relegation zone.
