Stevenage made it eight games unbeaten after a hard-fought 0-0 draw with Leyton Orient on Tuesday night in east London, writes Owen Rodbard from Brisbane Road.

Alex Revell made two changes from the team that beat Harrogate on Tuesday night, with Arthur Read and Luke Norris replacing Luke Prosser and Chris Lines.

Orient made three changes with Sam Ling, Conor Wilkinson and Tristan Abrahams replacing Tunji Akinola, Joe Widdowson and Danny Johnson who dropped to the bench.

From the start Boro looked to attack.

A ball was rolled to Tom Pett on the edge of the box and the midfielders shot looked goal bound before an Orient defender took the sting of the ball.

A period of play consisting of some loose ball and scrappy play in the middle resulted in the ball being played into Eliot List. The inform striker turned past one before stinging the palms of Lawrence Vigouroux in the Orient net.

Boro smelt blood and on the half hour mark a corner met the head of Luke Norris, who could only aim straight at the keeper, despite being unmarked.

Both teams went into half time happy with the score level, but expecting more in the second half.

After the restart Boro looked to play from the back. The ball was driven into the feet of Elliot List before the striker was brough down by an Orient defender.

Ben Coker crashed the ball against the bar much to the dismay of Boro's travelling contingent of players and staff.

Ten minutes later Norris looked certain to break the deadlock after losing his man in the box but misplaced his header over the bar despite being completely unmarked.

Soon after Orient had their biggest chance of the game. Former Boro loanee Dan Kemp made space on the edge of the box before looping the ball over Jamie Cumming and hitting the inside of the post.

Stevenage were next to test the keeper as Pett and Osborne both had shots saved by the busy Vigouroux.

Calamity nearly ensued three minutes later when a simple ball was misjudged by Wildin and allowed Danny Johnson to race through one on one before his scuff shot fell wide of the target.

The game petered out as Orient sat back and defended for a point. Boro will feel aggrieved after a number of key chances were wasted but, equally, will be pleased with a point on the road.

Boro travel to Southend on Saturday and will be looking to make it eight games unbeaten.
