Stevenage hosted League One pacesetters Peterborough in the second round of the League Cup - find out who impressed with our Nub News Player Ratings.

Steve Evans side beat The Posh 1-0 after 90 hard-fought minutes on Tuesday evening after Jamie Reid's late winner sent Boro fans into raptures, sparking jubilant scenes at Broadhall Way.

The late drama saw Evans' Boro beat the visitors from the division above and make it through to the third round of the League Cup for the first time in their history.

Six goals in seven games after the 84th minute has seen Evans side make their best start to a season since 2013.

Stevenage

Chapman: 7- Strong claiming of crosses, excellent commanding of his defence, didn't have a particularly busy night

Wildin: 8- Energetic, good positioning and some brilliant last-ditch challenges

Sweeney: 7.5- Commanded his defence, played the ball forwards excellently, unlucky to not score from a corner

Bostwick:7 - Some excellent sweeping moves, solid in the challenge and pushed his team forward

Piergianni: 8- Won all his aerial duels, brilliant challenges and great leadership to keep the score line at 1-0

Earley: 8- Some good balls down the line, defended excellently against the dangerous Posh attackers

Campbell: 7 Protected his backline well, good in the challenge and worked hard for the team

Taylor: 7.5- Brilliant recovery challenges, superb link up play and good balls to break the Peterborough lines

Reeves: 7.5- Some questionable deliveries from set pieces, tricky and a creative spark

Amoo: 7.5- Brilliant turn of pace, maybe lacking a little composure, solid debut

Reid: 8- Worked very hard, some half chances but never really got a hold of the ball in important areas, great composure for his goal
