Two second half goals in the space of four minutes saw Leyton Orient beat Stevenage 2-0 at the Lamex on Saturday.

Strikes from Jordan Maguire-Drew and Conor Wilkinson handed the east Londoners a hard-fought victory against Alex Revell's Boro, who have now lost four out of their last five in League Two.

The home side dominated proceedings during the opening 45 minutes with Jack Aitchison testing O's keeper Lawrence Vigouroux.

Stevenage continued after the interval when centre-back Scott Cuthbert's long ball found Elliott List, whose shot drew a smart save from Vigouroux.

However, Orient made Revell's side pay for failing to convert their dominance when Danny Johnson's cross from the left was tucked away by substitute Maguire-Drew against the run of play to make it 1-0.

Orient doubled their lead 240 seconds later when evergreen former Boro midfielder Jobi McAnuff squared for Wilkinson to slot home.

Stevenage refused to give up, carving further chances but Vigouroux rounded off an excellent game to keep the home side out and earn three points and a clean sheet as battling Boro slipped to 20th in the table.
