Stevenage 3-1 Derby County: Boro seal memorable victory over Rams
Jordan Roberts, Alex MacDonald and a late strike from Kane Hemmings sealed a superb victory for Stevenage over fallen Premier League giants Derby.
Boro's first win in four matches saw them ease to sixth in League One.
Steve Evans' Boro went ahead in the 32nd minute when a 25-yard free-kick was teed up for Roberts, whose effort flew past Rams keeper Joe Wildsmith.
Derby levelled 38 minutes when Nathaniel Mendez-Laing slotted home an equaliser.
However Boro restored their lead with the last kick of the opening 45 minutes, when Alex MacDonald's free-kick flew past Wildsmith.
A memorable victory for Steve Evans side was sealed on 84 minutes when Luther James-Wildin's low cross saw Hemmings grab his first goal for Stevenage from close range.
A second straight away loss for the struggling Rams saw some of their travelling support call for manager Paul Warne to be sacked.
