Stevenage vs Forest Green Rovers: Preview

Stevenage return to the Lamex on Tuesday night to face high flying Forest Green Rovers.

Alex Revell's men will be looking to return to winning ways after three draws in as many games.

Forest Green will no doubt be a stern test and will be hoping Cambridge slip up so they can reclaim top spot in the league.

Form

Boro are unbeaten in four games and in recent weeks have been making steady progress away from the relegation places.

Their last five games have resulted in one win, three draws and one loss. This form sees them sit in 18th place.

Forest Green will be hoping to keep their stellar record of one defeat in seven league games intact as they look to climb above Cambridge into top spot.

Their last five games have produced four wins and one loss.

Head to head

Boro have never beaten Forest Green in league action. The teams have met seven times with three draws and four victories for the Green Devils.

Danger men

Ex-Boro loanee Jamille Matt leads the line with 12 goals in all competitions, followed by Aaron Collins and Jake Young with 6 goals.

Team news

Revell has no new injury concerns but will no doubt have to rotate the squad after four games in two weeks.

Notable absentees include Ross Marshall, Jack Smith and Charlie Carter.

Alex Revell previews the game

"It's been a real gruelling run of away games.

"The clubs been really good in terms of travelling and making sure we can rest the players because it's been so important

"When you see how much the players give then they need the opportunity to rest."

"We're looking forward to coming back home and playing on a pitch that we can play and get back to the way we want to pass the ball."
