Stevenage

13 Sacha Bastien 5/10 – Conceded four which he will be disappointed by but he also made few mistakes.

27 Brad Barry 6/10 – Always a threat down the left flank but was caught out a couple of times defensively by Clarke.

5 Scott Cuthbert 6/10 – Commanded the defence and was the better of the centre back pairing. Loud and passionate.

24 Ross Marshall 5/10 – At fault for Alonso's goal, never looked fully comfortable but did score Stevenage's second. A mixed day for the centre back.

3 Ben Coker 6/10 – Defensively decent but did little of note throughout the full 90 minutes except hi assist for Stevenage's third.

19 Arthur Read 6/10 – worked hard but again did little of note. The right side was Stevenage's weaker side of attack.

14 Chris Lines 5/10 – Looked slightly off the pace throughout and struggled to take control of the midfield.

23 Jack Smith 6/10 – Delivered the corner off which Stevenage scored but beyond that, much like Lines, Smith gave the Tottenham midfield cohort far too much space to work with.

12 Bruno Andrade 7/10 – Lively throughout, took a few decent long-range shots and pressed well.

17 James Daly 7/10 – Lively throughout, with his pace causing the defence problems. Scored a screamer at the close of the first half.

9 Luke Norris 6/10 – Quiet through large parts of the match and struggled to link up with anyone. Failed to connect with numerous crosses.

Substitutes

31 Timmy Smith

2 Luke James-Wildin 6/10 – Replaced Barry. Didn't offer too much going forward but was defensively sound.

8 Jake Taylor 6/10 – Replaced Andrade. Worked hard in midfield and did well to give Tottenham less time on the ball. Did more off the ball than on the ball.

15 Terence Vancooten

20 Jamie Reid 7/10 – Replaced Norris. Scored a brilliant half-volley at the close of the match and had flashes of goalscoring threat.

26 Alfie Williams

32 Finley Johnson

Tottenham U21

59 Joshua Oluwayemi 6/10 – Cannot be blamed for conceding Daly's wonder strike and showed his ability as a shot stopper in the second half.

46 Fagan-Walcott 6/10 – Good on the ball but struggled to contain Andrade and Daly.

62 Marques Muir 6/10 – Good aerially and comfortable on the ball but could have done better when Stevenage scored off a corner.

49 Tobi Omole 7/10 – Made a few strong last-ditch challenges and got an assist to his name. Always looked composed.

57 Marcel Lavinier 7/10 – Last minute addition to the starting line-up, replacing the injured Mundle. Played well on the ball and remained defensively strong.

50 Kallum Cesay 6/10 – A quiet game with little done of note bar a few decent crosses. Showed signs of h class, controlling the ball well at times but didn't get enough of the ball.

53 Brooklyn Lyons-Foster 7/10 – Commanded the midfield well but could have closed Daly down for his goal.

47 Jack Clarke 8/10 – Provided an assist for the opener and consistently caused the Stevenage defence problems down the left flank.

42 Harvey White 9/10 – Received a yellow car but scored two goals. His variety of movement and late runs were particularly impressive and helped him to convert two chances.

54 Dilan Markanday 8/10 – At his best when running at the Stevenage back four, he got two assists for his troubles.

66 Yago Alonso – 9/10 Outstanding display. Always a threat on the ball and use his pace to press the Stevenage back four all night. His goal was also brilliantly taken and demonstrated poise.

Substitutes

73 Adam Hayton

61 Rafferty Pedder 6/10 – Replaced Markanday. Pressed well but had little time to truly impact the game.

68 Jeremy Kyezu

55 Romaine Mundle – Suffered a muscle injury in the pre-match warmup and was stretchered off.
