Still Waters — A Gentle Space to Explore Faith or lack

16 Sep 2026
Wednesday 16 September
Still Waters is a relaxed, open group where anyone can come as they are and explore faith — or their lack of faith — in a gentle, creative, and deeply human way. It's not a service or a class, but a space for reflection, curiosity, and conversation. Some people arrive with faith, some with doubt, some with questions, and some simply wanting a quiet moment to think. All are welcome.
The group is committed to inclusion. All genders, identities, and expressions are welcome — whether you are trans, nonbinary, cis, questioning, or simply unsure where you fit. Your identity is part of your story, and your story is welcome here. Still Waters offers a space where you can explore spirituality without fear of judgement, and where you can be seen and accepted gently.
Each session uses storytelling, poetry, gentle discussion, and imaginative reflection to help people explore what they believe and how they see the world. There's no pressure to speak or to know the answers — just space to listen, think, and breathe.
Meetings:
Holy Trinity Church, Stevenage Old Town
Third Wednesday of each month — 7.45pm to 9.15pm
Upcoming dates: 21st October, 18th November, 16th December
You don't need to bring anything or prepare in advance. Simply come with an open mind and a willingness to explore gently.
If you've ever wondered whether faith could be approached differently — more softly, more humanly — Still Waters might be the place for you.
